San Diego garden wedding at Botanica//What a gorgeous day! This couple chose to exchange their vows at the beautiful Botanica, a lush oasis tucked away in the heart of North County San Diego. The venue was the perfect setting for their rustic-meets-boho wedding, with its winding paths, trickling fountains, and colorful flowers everywhere you looked. When Elaine's brother first reached out to me about photographing Elaine and Allan's wedding, I was thrilled! It's not everyday you get to photograph one of your bestie's family and upon meeting her it felt like we were old friends.
As a wedding photographer, I always love when couples incorporate personal touches into their wedding day. For Elaine and Allan, they chose to get married at this venue because of their shared love of nature. The botanical gardens made for a stunning backdrop for their ceremony and photos. The bride wore a stunning white dress with peach blooms, while the groom donned his traditional navy uniform. I also loved all the outdoor suede furniture for guests to lounge on. Towards the end of the night we used the couch to set up some fun night photos. It's a great for couples to step out for a quick 10 minutes during their reception for some night photos, if the venue has good ambient light.
