Celestial theme wedding with DIY details. San Diego wedding photographer//Vince and Julie's wedding was a little out of this world- in the best way possible. The bride is a DIY queen and she used her talents to create the most romantic and intimate setting for their wedding day. Vince and I also go way back to the good ol high school days and it was especially special for me to see the tear well up in his eye as Julie first approached him.
For all the brides out there that are planning a celestial themed wedding or elopement- this post is for you! Vince and Julie were kind enough to let me tag along on their special day and capture all the incredible details and DIY elements they put together. From the boho bride's printed lace bridal dress, the giant paper moon, a neon "to the moon and back" sign, every element of this day was planned with so much thought and love. Be sure to check out their DIY ceremony arch, the succulent wall behind it came from their garden.
When I think about their wedding, a few words come to mind: ethereal, boho, and celestial. I've always been drawn to the moon and stars, and I love that their wedding reflected that. They had the perfect setting for an intimate outdoor ceremony followed by a reception under the stars. Nestled in mission valley in San Diego, Lot 8 is a hidden gem that provides a beautiful outdoor space, lush living walls, and a laid back California vibe. The venue's minimalist aesthetic served as the perfect backdrop for the couple's DIY boho moon decor.
Whether you're planning a small elopement or an intimate wedding, San Diego is the perfect place to tie the knot and Lot 8 is a super cool venue to consider. With its natural beauty and mild climate, you can get married here year-round. Presidio park is nearby if you want to runaway for some romantic portraits. And if you're looking for some inspiration for your own big day, be sure to check out this ethereal celestial-themed wedding at Lot 8! Scroll down to see alllllll the pretty!!!
